5 Things to Start "2021You" Will Be Grateful For

Do you ever get to the end of the year and wish you had more memories?

Things that you could look back on.. to remind you what you felt, learned, and overcame?

Me too. So this is a list of habits, projects, and creative outlets that you can invest time into, now, to prevent the future regret. Your 2021 self will be proud to see all of the progress.

1. Write a letter to yourself. Take one day out of each month to compose a letter to yourself. Express to "future you" all that you have felt and learned that month.

Maybe even tell yourself what you would do differently.

2. Take more small clips. Take 10 second videos of you hiking a trail or laughing with your friend. They may seem like a waste of phone space or pointless, but those moments- the seemingly insignificant- mean a whole lot at the end of the year.

3. Track your good and bad habits.

We are creatures of habit, and often we down even recognize it. There are so many ways to do this. The purpose is to see growth and/or learn how you functioned in different circumstances.

4. Make a list of your top 5 priorities each month. It could be people, things, jobs, or self development. They may stay the same or they may differ hugely. It's a healthy reflective pattern to create. How interesting it would be to see how much has evolved by 2021.

5. Create a Bucket List.

Compose a list of your “must do’s” before 2021 and see how much you can accomplish. If you can't do it all, it’ll drive you to really accomplish them next year.

Whether you see growth or stability, being able to visual and remember what 2020 really felt like is such a beautiful thing. Not only will this be something you will thank yourself for next year, but it will also help you be more self aware all throughout the year! It’s a win win for current you and further you. Here’s to 2020 and all of the moments of happiness, sadness, challenges, development, and growth. May you bloom in the grace of Jesus.
